Meet the Owner: Julie Christophers
Hi, I’m Julie! It delights me no end, every day, as the owner and manager of NumberWorks’nWords Clayfield, to see children in our centre thriving and confident as they engage in learning. It is incredibly rewarding to know we are changing lives and empowering young people to have choices in the future. I believe education is critical, but confidence is key. I am passionate about creating a space where children love learning, and where they are encouraged and inspired to challenge their understanding and ‘bring their best’.
While I’m having fun running the day to day of the centre, my husband Jason is working tirelessly behind the scenes, bringing his corporate and finance experience to the business. We welcome you to NumberWorks’nWords Clayfield.
Meet the Manager: Sarah Pettett
Hi, I’m Sarah! I’m the Manager of NumberWorks’nWords Clayfield. I first discovered my passion for teaching when I started as an English and maths tutor with NumberWorks’nWords in 2015. I also spent a few years in Dalian, China, working as an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher, before returning to NumberWorks’nWords in 2021.
Getting to work directly with our students, alongside our team of exceptional tutors, is always the highlight of my day. We create individual lesson plans that are unique to every student, so they can learn in the way that works best for them. There is nothing that compares to the feeling of seeing our students build confidence and improve in their abilities from week to week. This is the reason I returned to NumberWorks’nWords, and also the reason that I cannot imagine myself being anywhere else!
